Total Wellness with Hormone Replacement Therapy
Anderson Plastic Surgery is committed to the total well-being of our patients. Looking good is only one piece of the puzzle. In the long run, it is short-sighted to focus only on appearance without also correcting underlying health issues. Daily exercise, healthy eating, maintenance of ideal weight, stress reduction and deep REM sleep are all important to good health. One factor that has been under stressed and poorly treated by mainstream medicine is the restoration of optimal hormone levels to those typically found in young healthy adults.
Both physicians and our advanced nurse practitioner at Anderson Plastic Surgery & MedSpa have Advanced Bioidentical Hormone Therapy Certification. The Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy program at Anderson Plastic Surgery & MedSpa is a team effort. We are committed to providing the best possible care. Our three providers meet weekly to review relevant cases and recent advances in hormone replacement therapy. Although everyone beyond a certain age is a potential candidate for hormone replacement, not everyone is ready to commit to optimizing their health.
How does it work?
As a prerequisite to your joining our BHRT program, we ask you to read the booklet, Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy by Neal Rouzier, M.D. Once you have read this booklet and decide to move forward with hormone replacement therapy, we will test your blood levels of various hormones, vitamins and minerals and schedule a consultation with one of our providers.
During your consultation, your lab results will be discussed in detail and recommendations will be made to correct sub-optimal levels. Your initial prescription will be for a 60-day supply. Your next lab studies will be drawn about 5 weeks into your treatments. A week later you will have your follow-up visit with your provider to review the lab results and receive your next prescription for another 60 days. This process will be repeated until your serum levels of specific hormones, vitamins and minerals are optimized. At that time, we will start testing your serum levels twice yearly and adjust your prescriptions as needed.
Initial Consultation: $150 (applied to first year fee)
First year: $1,000
Each subsequent year: $500
The initial lab tests range from $150-$300 depending on your specific situation. Follow-up lab studies usually range from $95-$115.
We look forward to working with you to optimize your hormones and selected minerals and vitamins.
